Serenity With Purpose: Bobbi Kristina’s Sneaker Ball Returns Honoring Tina Knowles, Tisha Campbell, and Community Changemakers

Legacy, healing, and impact will take center stage as Bobbi Kristina’s Serenity House prepares to host its 5th Annual Celebration of Serenity Sneaker Ball, an evening that blends celebration with a deeply rooted mission.

Founded by Bobby Brown and Alicia Etheridge Brown, the nonprofit’s signature event returns on April 26 in Los Angeles, bringing together influential voices, celebrities, and advocates committed to uplifting communities and supporting survivors.

Honoring Impact Across Culture and Community

This year’s ceremony shines a spotlight on individuals whose work extends far beyond their respective industries.

Tina Knowles will receive the Legacy Impact Award, recognizing her longstanding contributions to culture, philanthropy, and community empowerment. Known not only as a fashion icon but as a champion for creative and social initiatives, her recognition underscores the event’s focus on lasting influence.

Tisha Campbell will be honored with the Thriver Award, a reflection of her resilience, advocacy, and continued efforts to uplift others through both her platform and personal journey.

Rounding out the evening’s honorees, Los Angeles Deputy Chief Ruby Flores will receive the Changemaker Award for her leadership in law enforcement and her ongoing commitment to community engagement and public service.

An Evening That Blends Celebration and Purpose

Hosted by Emmy Award-winning actor and comedian Anthony Anderson, the Sneaker Ball is designed to feel both elevated and accessible — a regal gala with a unique twist.

Guests will step onto a signature purple carpet before entering an immersive experience that includes a “Serenity Casino,” live musical performances, dinner, and an inspiring awards presentation. The event’s signature sneaker-forward dress code continues to set it apart, symbolizing both individuality and unity.

But beyond the aesthetic and entertainment, the night carries a deeper meaning.

A Mission Rooted in Legacy

Bobbi Kristina’s Serenity House was created to honor the life and legacy of Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. The organization’s work is centered on addressing domestic violence and supporting survivors through advocacy, education, and direct services.

From 24-hour crisis intervention to transitional housing and counseling, the nonprofit provides critical resources for individuals navigating some of life’s most difficult circumstances. Its work also extends to addressing related challenges, including homelessness and mental health, offering a comprehensive approach to healing and recovery.

A Growing Cultural Moment

Over the years, the Sneaker Ball has evolved into more than a fundraiser — it has become a cultural moment, attracting a wide range of artists, entertainers, and community leaders. Past attendees have included names like Babyface, Cedric the Entertainer, and Marla Gibbs, with this year’s guest list expected to feature Deon Cole, Lil Rel, Eric Benet, Faith Evans, Angela Winbush, and additional surprise appearances.

Set to take place at the Taglyan Complex in Los Angeles, the evening begins with doors opening at 5:00 PM, followed by the official program at 6:00 PM. For more information, visit https://bobbikristinaserenityhouse.org/.

The Bigger Picture

At its core, the Celebration of Serenity Sneaker Ball is about more than recognition — it’s about responsibility.

It’s a reminder that legacy isn’t just what’s left behind, but what’s built in the present. Through honoring leaders, supporting survivors, and creating space for community, Bobbi Kristina’s Serenity House continues to transform remembrance into action.

And in doing so, ensures that its mission — and its impact — continues to grow.
