Directed by Elegance Bratton and written by Sascha Penn, the film stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as a young Black FBI agent sent to Mississippi to investigate a series of brutal killings targeting Black residents. As the investigation deepens, he finds himself working alongside notorious mafia hitman Greg Scarpa, portrayed by Mark Wahlberg.
It is an alliance built less on trust than necessity.
